Just saw my first Tesla in LA

But, I hate to say it, but I don't think big motor companies will get on the electric car bandwagon. Electric cars are great from a consumer stand point, but GM & Ford think they'll lose money in the long run on electric cars. And they will. Electric cars are almost ZERO maintanence. No oil changes tune ups etc. That's why they are pushing hydrogen down our throat. Assuming they get hydrogen to actually work, it will require more maintanence the gas powered cars.

Anyone else wish that they had just used the same design as the Elise or Exige? When I saw one in person, it looked much more boring than the Lotus.

But either way, I would take one! :geek:

It is a beatiful car, although like others I am bummed that it is so expensive. If it was cheaper, I would buy one in a second. I tried to buy a EV-1 back in the day, but GM tried as hard to not sell them as they did to sell them.

I am sure everyone has seen the wrecked on in SF. I guess the good news is that they are finally getting delivered, the bad news is that they are getting wrecked almost as fast!
